Our Mission
The mission of The Road Home Rescue Project Inc is to advocate for animals who cannot advocate for themselves by providing safety, compassionate foster care, proper veterinary care and sterilization, and a path toward loving, permanent homes. Through partnerships with Connecticut animal control agencies, support for residential surrenders, and the dedication of our volunteers and foster families, we work to give every animal in our care the second chance—and road home—they deserve.
Our Organization
Our organization is built around one goal: giving animals in need the best possible chance at a safe, happy future. From foster care and adoption to working with local animal control agencies, assisting with residential surrenders, and providing community support, every part of what we do helps create a path from uncertainty to safety—and ultimately, a road home.
Our Impact
The Road Home Rescue Project started around a dining room table with one simple mission: to be a voice for the voiceless. What began small has grown into a full foster-based rescue operation serving animals across Connecticut.
Today, our nonprofit is powered by a dedicated Board of Directors, volunteers, foster families, and supporters who share a passion for giving animals the second chances they deserve. We work closely with local animal control agencies and assist with residential surrenders to provide animals with safety, care, advocacy, and ultimately, their road home.
